About us

Christer Nynäs founded his family business, Hantverkarlyan, in 1991.

Hantverkarlyan is located in the municipality of Luoto, alongside the “Seven Bridges Road” which runs along the west coast of Finland from Kokkola to Pietarsaari.
 
We have manufactured wooden products since 1991 and have concentrated on the manufacture of wooden toys since 1995. From the foundation of the company, the safety and designs of our products have been important to us. Due to this, all of the products have therefore been designed so that they meet EU standards in regards to the safety of toys (EN 71). All of our toys are also suitable for children under 3 years of age.
 
From 2009, we have also been making signs from wood; additional information is available at www.kyltti.fi.
 
We currently have no official factory stores, but if you would like to pop in between the planks and boards, you're welcome.
